Delete Your Data

Option A — One-click self-service (recommended)

1. Log in to your MscTutor account.
2. Open Dashboard → Settings.
3. Scroll to Privacy controls.
4. Click “Delete account” and type DELETE when prompted.

Your account is disabled immediately. All personal data is permanently removed within 30 days.

Option B — Email request

If you have lost access to your account, email support@msctutor.in from the email address registered on your account, with the subject line “DELETE MY ACCOUNT” and we will process the request within 30 days.

What gets deleted

• Profile (name, email, phone, photo, class, board, language).
• Your private chat history with AI Teacher.
• Your saved bookmarks.
• Voice / avatar usage counters.
• Push notification token.
• Pending top-up purchases that were never completed.
• Daily and monthly credit counters.

What is retained (and why)

• Billing records (8 years). Required by Indian GST Act §36 and Income Tax Rules. We pseudonymise the user ID so the records no longer identify you.
• Anonymised learning analytics (up to 90 days). Used to improve content quality; cannot be traced back to you.
• Security logs (30 days). Audit trail for fraud and abuse investigations.

School and parent accounts

If your account was created by a school, deletion removes your personal profile but the school may retain attendance and exam records for its own statutory record-keeping. Contact your school administrator first.

Parents or guardians wanting to delete a child’s account: email support@msctutor.in from your email of record. We will verify the relationship before deletion (DPDP §9(2)).
