Sound is a vibration that travels through air to our ears. The ear has: Outer ear (pinna) โ collects sound, like a funnel. Ear canal โ channels sound inward. Eardrum โ vibrates when sound hits it. Ossicles (3 tiny bones: malleus, incus, stapes) โ amplify vibrations. Cochlea (snail-shaped) โ converts vibrations to nerve signals. Auditory nerve โ sends signals to brain, which interprets them as sound.
