Earliest tools were made from stone โ sharpened by hitting two stones together (knapping). Tools: choppers (cutting), hand axes (digging, butchering), scrapers (preparing animal skins), blades (cutting). Over time, tools became smaller and more refined. Stone tools found in India at Bhimbetka, Hunsgi valley.
