Brahmanas: upper caste priests and scholars, maintained Sanskrit learning. Rajputs: warrior clans who became rulers across northern India. Valued bravery and honour. Many clans: Chahamanas, Chandellas, Paramaras, Solankis. They fought among themselves but united against external invaders. Rajput courts patronized art and literature.
