Gauss's Law

Total electric flux through any closed surface = total charge enclosed / ε₀. φ_E = Q_enclosed/ε₀. Flux = E⋅A⋅cosθ. Applications: (1) Field of uniformly charged sphere = kQ/r² (outside). (2) Field of infinite line charge = λ/(2πε₀r). (3) Field of infinite plane = σ/(2ε₀). Gauss's law simplifies calculation when symmetry exists.
