Comparing Decimals

First compare whole number part. If equal, compare tenths digit. If still equal, compare hundredths, and so on. Add zeros to make same number of decimal places for easier comparison. Example: 2.3 vs 2.30 โ€” same! 1.09 vs 1.9 โ€” 1.9 is larger (1.90 vs 1.09).
