Dividing decimal by whole number: divide normally, put decimal in same position. Dividing by decimal: multiply both by 10 (or 100) to make divisor whole number. Example: 2.4 ÷ 0.3 = 24 ÷ 3 = 8. Dividing by powers of 10: move decimal left (÷10 → left 1).
