Comic Strip Story

This chapter uses a comic strip format to show how the idea of India as a nation developed during the 19th century. It shows: British policies creating hardship (heavy taxes, drain of wealth), Indian intellectuals learning about freedom and rights from Western education, growing resentment against British rule, and the seeds of the Indian freedom movement being planted.
